Default New Owner 2005 Brute Force 750

Hello to all. New member here. Have been lurking for a while. I am looking for some advice on my recent purchase. I purchased a left over 2005 750 Brute for what I think was a good price (6,000). I have read many posts on this board about expected problems. I would like to ask you guys (and gals) about what I should do to it or problems to look for.

I am not new to the sport and thankfully I have the resources to modify/alter this quad to make it trouble free. I am not looking for more speed or power just reliability.

Any adivice you can give would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have not had a chance to take it out and shake it down yet.

My Uncle, Brother and I all have BF's 750.... not any "problems" to report so to speak.. just modifications you could/should look into...

1st. Dyna Tech CDI - you'll get way more power and reverse override

2nd. Rims and Tires... Stock are garbage - both the rims and tires. Make Ride way smoother and you'll have more fun in the mud.

3rd. Snorkel - Super easy to do - used pvc or 2 inch hose - super easy.

Watch out for Tie Rods and Tie Rod ends, I've gone threw 2 of each.. but I was riding Really hard in the muck.... Other then that its a steller.
Also Boot Clamps on the axles... keep an eye on those.

Thanks for the advice. I do have one other question for you. Some have said to use dielectric grease on the connections. Do you disconnect them and fill it with the grease or just spray over the connection.

Thanks
