Default 2005 suzuki, 700 qaud matic, running rough in reverse

Hi everyone, I have just recently bought a 2005 suzuki kingquad quadmatic 700 4x4, IRS
I took it out today and we were running in some snow and mud and the few times I got stuck I would put the quad into reverse and it just sputters and spits and doesnt seem to run right, it has no power whats so ever.
Also I put the differential lock switch on by the 4x4 button and I would get the same result, the quad just spits and sputters in high gear and low gear,
It runs totally fine when in 4x4 high and low and 2 wheel drive, the rpms are great and it doesnt miss a beat.
Is there anything I can try or do or anyone know what might be the problem that would be a great help.
I see there is aoverdrive button on the left handle bar as well, I pressed it a few times and it didnt seem to light up anything on the dash or do anything.
Some help from a few people would be great.
I just realized its a suzuki and I am in the kawaski area, stil some help would be appreciated

Is it an 'overdrive' or 'override' button? My KFX 700 has an override button that you can press to defeat the rev limiter in reverse. You have to hold it down the whole time you're backing up to keep the rev limiter overridden though. Holding the button down, my quad will haul ***** in reverse! Without it, it will sputter like crazy if you get in the throttle too much backing up.

SilveradoSS is correct, you MUST keep the overide button pushed the entire time you are in reverse to get Full power while in Reverse, otherwise it will just cut-out & have Zero power. Doesn't matter if you are in 4x2 or 4x4, you must hold in that Button.
