Default 2008 bruteforce questions

I curantly have a 2003 prairie 650 and thinking of getting a 08 bf750 but have a few questions... ive heard the 08 modles have a new suspention. do they handle as well as my sra prairie? like in doing power slides and cornering? also would a dyna cdi and clutch springs be enough for a 08 brute to make it run with a stock kfx400 in 300ft? thanks....

my 08 keeps up now and i haven't done anything to is except tires and wheel's. My friend has the 400 and there is no problem beating him in 300ft. Rider can also make a big difference. As far as suspension, the strait axle will always out perform in a situation like power sliding, but the brute has made vast improvements from last year.

Yes, the new 08 model 750 has improved suspension and geometry settings to make it handle better then in years past. IT wont handle just like a 650 prairie because the prairie sits so low and has the solid axel but the new brute will swing the rear end out there. Im sure its just a matter of getting used to it. The news 750s are really nice with the added improvments they made.

Yes the 08 is much better. However they still need improvement with the front geometry. It handles horribly compared to other models. But nice power and rock solid feel.

Mudwolf, Can you be specific about the handling problems. I'm curious about what you mean exactly. I got my 2008 after most of the trails had closed for the season. I've only driven it on gravel roads and frozen water so far. I'd be interested in your response.

My main complaint is that the handlebars fight back. Trail riding it isn't that bad but it still happens. The best way I can explain it is it is like driving a truck without power steering.

Thanks for the reply. I guess it would be similar to the 2005 in that regard. I know I got a lot of feedback through the steering on that model. I was hoping Kawasaki wouldn't go to power steering because of the additional parts, maintenance, and cost, but maybe that will happen. Overall I really like the updated 2008, so far.
