Default OIL LEAK !! HELP !!!!

MY 2004 PRAIRE 700 HAS AN OIL LEAK , COULDNT FIND IT ANYWHERE ON THE CASE , ITS DRIPPING ONTO THE LEFT FLOORBOARD SO I PULLED THE PULL START OFF , AND THERE WAS OIL ALL IN THERE ? ISNT THIS SUPPOSED TO BE DRY? HAS TO BE THE LITTLE O-RING BEHIND THE BOLT THAT GOES TO THE CRANK ? BUT HOW DO YOU REPLACE IT ? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED , OR DO YOU THINK IT COULD BE COMING FROM SOMEWHERES ELSE ?

Default OIL LEAK !! HELP !!!!

More than likely it is the $7 oil seal P/N 92049-1576. Dry up the area, ride the quad and check to confirm the leak source. If it is the seal, just pry of the old seal which would get damaged during the removal process but you toss it out anyway. Then tap in the new one in. This is a lot easier than replacing the oil seal on the rear crank end of my 79 Dodge V8.
