DOES ANYONE KNOW AN EASY WAY TO REMOVE A TIE ROD ON A KFX400

Default DOES ANYONE KNOW AN EASY WAY TO REMOVE A TIE ROD ON A KFX400

I HAVE A 05 KFX 400.I ROLLED THE QUAD AND BENT THE STEERING STEM.I AM REPLACING THE STEM MYSELF,BUT HAVE NO CLUE ON REMOVING THE TIE ROD FROM THE STEERING STEM.ANY SUGGESTIONS WILL HELP,THANKS.....

Its really not that hard just a cotter pin and a nut. If you are replacing them you are better off replacing them both at the same time. Samething happened to be if they are older then when you go to put them back on they start to spin and you cant get the nut tight. Also, make sure that your tires are both hitting even.

Just stand the quad up by propping it on the back grab bar and pull the cotter pins, unbolt it from the stem and unscrew it from the ends and youre done.
