KFX80
#1
Hello all I'm new to the site, and was hoping to get a few answers to a couple questions.
I own two '06 KFX80s and the service contracts i had on them are about done. So I need to get familiar with them.
First question...From what i been reading it sound like LT80 and KFX80 are the same or very similar ATVs? If so, are parts interchangeable?
Second question...One of the 80s has an issue i have read already, but wanted to ask again since some of the replies were a few years old. The quad won't run with the choke off. I read that it could be clogged/dirty carb and/or glogged pilot jet.
Third question...The other 80 doesn't turn over when trying to start it. Battery is fully charged, safety switch seems to work. with the button out and start button pressed nothing happens. Push it in and press button, and i can hear the relay clicking. I was thinking the bendix on the starter might be stuck.
Fourth (and last for now) question...I do not like the oil injection pump idea, and would prefer to run mixed gas. How difficult is it to bypass the pump?
Thank you for reading and I'd appreciate any advice you can give me. Written help, links, or any other help would be great.
