Default LT80 KFX80 carb issues

I bought a 2003 KFX80 a few months ago. The **** for the choke was missing. I recently purchased a 1989 LT80 for parts. Both have Mikuni carbs that look identical, but I found that the choke (plunger) assemblies will not interchange (one is smaller than the other where it screws in the carb). Is this due to the year differences? Also, I need the fitting that goes in the side of the carb for the oil line; I'm assuming this is not available by itself, and I will need to find a used or junk carb to get this fitting? Thanks for any info.

Other than pull **** does the carb seem to serve its purpose making the bike run. If it does u could use some hand grip wire to twist in the groove on choke stem and leave a loop to pull with finger or attach wire to something the size of a dime to pull and use to push down the choke stem. Or look at stem size of both carbs pull **** off and put on other with epoxy or super glue so it doesn't fall off that is the cheapest fixes
