hi,

i finally got my bayou 300 all put back together with correct timing, thanks for all the help. i let the atv idle for about 20 mins just after retiming it. then i rode it around but it sputtered and hestiated every time i gave it a fair amount of gas. ( not alot just to change gears and climbing little hills) i don't see how it could be a timing problem because all you really do is set the valve timing ( not like moving a distbutor side to side to retard or advance) i was thinking it could be the carb maybe running to lean. i looked and couldn't find a carb screw for the rich/lean mixture..... could someone tell me where it is? well any thoughts or suggestions would be great, thanks so much

Recommendation: Get a service manual.

The Troubleshooting Guide, Pages 15-2,3, identifies your problem specifically and directs you to its solution.

The fuel/air screw should be on the bottom of the carburetor.
