Default BF 750 2WD/4WD light started flashing

My 2WD/4Wd light just started flashing, I have a 2 second flash that tells me that the EBC actuator is the culprit according to prvious posts, Our Prairie 700`s went out at 800 + mis. my BF has 1900 mis. this is a Kawasaki inherent problem as I have 3 other of our groups riders that have changed them also, Kawasaki denies it as a problem and why not as its making about 150 a pop or more as the cost 217.00 (the cheapest I`ve found) I would like to know has anyone removed the fork in the actualor/belt housing and does this disconnect the engine braking (i`d have to think so), and also I have a Buddy that lost his CDI last weekend at 4200 mis. on his all stock paririe (it is sock right down to the belt) i had our Dynatec CDIs in our RV (we only use them in the Dunes), I gave him one and he installed it and his belt indicator light went out (this had been on since 1000-1500 mis and would not reset as all the others had?) my flash interval from 2wd 4wd 2wd is 2 seconds.

my friends new 2007 Brute Force 650I started doing the same thing just this past week end, it's in the shop now. it has less than a thousand miles on it, only 3-4 hundred or so. they said it was coverd under warrenty. I sure hope so! I have the same quad I hope this dosn't happen to me too! we looked in the manual, it tells you about it in there. lost the braking, the dealer said you can ride it but no 4wheele drive. if she had to pay for it they said $125.00, 200 sounds steep! damn, best of luck to ya

Wow 125.00 I looked high and low on the internet for them to find a EBC actuator as cheap as I could and I havent bought one for a year or so, my brother inlaw had to buy the 4X4 actuator (they look are the same w/different lentgh wiring) for his and it was the same price shipped , if you can get one for 125.00 from your dealer please post it because this is a inherent problem w/the Kawasakis, ( although they wont admit it) I know that first hand, i ride with a big group and know of 5 EBCs that had to be changed including my wifes and now mine.
