Default BF 750 recommended front and rear diff oils recommendations?

Hi all,

Coming up on the one year mark owning my 2005 BF 750 and I am getting ready to change the front and rear diff oil. What oil's do you recommend? I just picked up some Kawasaki oil. Is it any good?

Thanks

One whole year & this is your 1st change??
You should get in the habbit of changing the Diffs more often as they don't take that much oil & it is easy to do.
The frt diff I change every 150 miles & if it sits all winter w/little or no riding, then I change the frt diff at the start of winter & again in Mid March.
Yes, the Kawie Oil is fine.

Try the Amsoil tractor oil for the rear next time. It really cut down on the rear brake "chatter" on my Brute.

Also be sure to clean out the dirt in the hex nut on the diffs well or you'll screw the head of the bolt up. By the way it takes a 5mm.

I use Mobil Fluid 424 in my 07 BF750 Rear Final Gear Case and for my Front Final Gear Case I use Mobil 1 MX4T 10W-40 Engine Oil, the same as I use in my engine. Both of the above oils are Kawasaki recommended oils. I ordered both oils from Grainger.

Good luck,
Jim

I heard you shouldn't use car oil, because there are clutch plates int here for the locker. You can use motorcycle spec wet clutch type oil.

I know several people who run 20w-50 v-twin amsoil in in the front and amsoil 0w-40 four stroke atv oil. in the engine.

Then AMSOIL hydro trans sae 5w-30 oil in the rear.

If you don't want to spend the $$ for amsoil get mobile 424 oil for the rear diff. a good high performance 10w40 motorcycle oil for the front diff and engine.

What does the manual say about which oil to use?
What does wet clutch have anything to do with BF750 that uses CVT?
