I dont have a BF so take this with a grain of salt, but I would try hooking up the fan direct to a 12 volt source and see if it works. if it does, then start working backwards from there. If it doesnt then you need a new fan. Also I have heard of people putting a manual switch on their fan (the fan connects directly to a 12 volt source and a switch that is mounted somewhere that you can turn on or off). If it were me and I put a manual switch on it, I would put it on a wire that only has 12 volts running through it when the ignition switch is on. But I also need to say that on my dads BF the fan stays on for a while after the motor is shut down, so I am not sure if the motor needs that extra fan run time or not. Hopefully someone in this forum can give you better advise on this. I hope this gives you a good starting point at least.

I have an 07 Brute Force 650 and I just noticed this weekend that my cooling fan is not coming on as well. I looked for this reset switch that you speak of but do not see it on my model. Any suggestions? I checked the connections and everything looks fine. I drove it up a trail and climbed about 1000 feet in 30 degree heat this weekend and not once did the fan come on.

i had the same problem. my fan worked great until i took the chip off.

take your seat off, follow the wires from the cooling system to your box. that plug that snapped into the box was fried. i just spliced straight into the connection in the box and worked great.
