Default Bayou drive train problems

I just bought a 1994 bayou 220 when i give it a little throttle it feels like the final drive/clutch is binding somewhere. You can feel the engine torque up against the out drive and it act like a brake is holding it. It seems to free up with a little speed and throttle . Have put bike in netural and it rolls easy But seems like the crank case gets real hot to the touch after riding it for a few minutes. Can anybody give me a ideal what it might be or where to start looking for the problem.
