I think i stripped the rear gear box drain hole or plug. I thightened it a little to much and felt it start to lossen. I have not tried to take it out yet as it is not leaking and is still in there tight enough. can i just suck the gear oil out of the fill hole when it is time to change again. What are my options if i remove the plug? I cant beleive i tightened it to much SH....T. The bike is a 2002 300 4x4 kvf. Any help appreicaited.

Well it sucks that this happened but thanks too many other people doing the same thing there are a couple options for you.
1. simple fix helicoil the hole. go to you local auto parts store and pick one up and follow the directions.
2 little harder. retap the hole. but when your done make sure that you clean out you housing real good you don't want metal shaving floating around in your gear case.
Now both of these options are if you stripped the hole and not the plug.
If you stripped out the plug just call your local dealer and order a new one.

I'm with bigpig750 on the Heli Coil fix i had a 86' Honda TRX350 Foreman 4x4 that i took to my local Honda Dealership , they let this young kid change the oil and he stripped my oil drain hole ; i had to fix it myself and threaten to sue the Dealer for the repair after he refused to fix it and tried to charge $75.00 to rethread the hole !
I bought a Heli Coil kit and repaired it myself then i charged the Dealer $175.00 for the kit and my labor , get the kit and proper size drill bit and fix it yourself ; when you start put some wheel bearing grease on the drill bit to keep the metal filings/shavings from getting in the gearbox and use loctite on the heli coil and let it situp untill it's dry before putting the plug back in !
This will keep the Heli Coil from coming out the next time you change the gear oil the next time , i like the Heli Coil because it allow's you to stay with the same size drain plug ; and by all mean's flush the gearbox to make sure you get all the metal shaving's out but with the grease on the drill bit it will help keep most if not all the shaving's from getting in the gerabox !
And the Castrol 80-90 gear oil will be fine , Hope this helps ; and have a good one !.......
