Best machine Kaw ever made???
The Prairie 700 never lost a shoot out that I know of. That thing was out for years basically unchanged and still winning shoot outs with brand new machines. It also started the displacement war that we all enjoy today. The Prairie did for the UTE segment what the Honda 250R did for the sport segment way back in the 80's.
The quads that truely raise the standards for the entire industry like that deserve special respect and so do the makers that let it all hang out on the machines that break "new" ground.

I can vouch for the Lakota. Its a bulletproof machine! That large crank it has means you could probably drive it forever. Same with the 300 bayou. The 220 bayou??? Not so much. Its ok, but no better than any other run-of-the-mill engine out there. My 99 Lakota has zero rod bearing play. My 99 bayou 220 has a lot of slop. The Lakota is just built like a tank. And the extra 100-150 lbs it has is just like a tank too.
Actually, the 220 bayou is a POS. Single a-arms, drum brakes all around, you can never keep the wheel bearings in it for long, and it weighs too much for the power it has.
