Winch question...

Default Winch question...
I have a Warn 2500lb. winch. When supplied power from my truck battery the winch operates fine.

There is a solenoid on the back of my 750 Brute Force. Is there a way to test and see if the solenoid is bad before I just buy one?

any troubleshooting thoughts... Thanks!

Default Winch question...
guess it was the solenoid (contactor) as WARN has a federal recall on the 8 terminal contactor. Free replacement is in the mail!
