Default Brute Force question

I'm working on my counsin 2005 750 Brute Force. It has 380 miles and has sat for over a year. I replaced the plugs, drained and put in new gas. I cleaned the carbs. It idles fine, but when you apply the gas it misses bad. There is no belt light on. He also has another 750 BF that I'm getting once I fix this thats doing the same thing. I'm not familar with this machine so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Make sure choke plungers are not sticking and closes completely when choke lever is at off position.

Default Brute Force question

I cleaned them with carb cleaner when I cleaned the carbs. I'm not familar with the plungers, but I pushed them in while the machine was running and she still missed when I gas it. I will remove them again , if needed. Advice appreciated. Thanks

Hope you are not talking about removing the carbs. Choke plungers are on the left side of the carbs at each end. BTW, you need to do some plug reading and find out whether your quad is running too lean or rich.

I removed the main and pilot jets and sprayed cleaner threw them. Then I took a entire can and sprayed the floats, plungers, and anything I could see. I didn't mess with the ends with the black covers (diaphragm?). Thanks

My cousin is overly generous to who can ride his machines. He probably has put 50 of the miles on. His teen age boy and his friends the rest. I, nor he knows how the machines where rode. The machine I'm working on looks clean and not outwardly abused. Thanks

Did you get this solved? If so could you tell me what you did to fix it?
I am having the same problem. My 2005 Brute Force sat for 8 months and idles great but backfires through both carbs when throttle is pushed.
