Nice brute force, me and my dad just got a new kingquad 400 bout a month ago and its hard to explain how excited you get when you know u get to bring home a new quad. My old chinese 200cc was a piece of junk compared to the japanese brands lol. Have fun sunday, were going driving tomorrow.

Great choice. I went thru same thing a few years ago (2007). We have a 360 and I was moving up the ranks. I bought the 650i and still am in lust!!! I got it with the 2500 Warn, 26" Mudlites and ITP rims plus the Moose power module. All for less then the 750i.
You will have to keep the radiator clean. It will collect dust and dirt and she will wanna run hot once it starts getting clogged. The posts above are correct, there aren't many that wont clog. One big hint, watch for the radiator clogging more on the engine side, as it is covered more than the exposed front. It is a secret collecting area that you will find out once your hot and scratching your head...
As far comparing, our group has them all. The pop 500 HO to 800, the KQ, the 700 Grizz, the 750i. The 750i kicksa everybody's **** power wise. The KG runs well after an exhaust tweak. The Grizz is top heavy though with a wheel and tire kit and does get tricky on angles.
But you made your decision and I think it was the right one!!! Enjoy!!!

Hi all. I am trying to decide what to get. I have narrowed it down to either a Prairie 360 4x4 or BF 650 sra.

For those of you that have or have spent time on both, can you give me some idea of the power difference?

For history, I used to ride an old Honda 125 back when there was no suspension at all, just the really low airpressure in the tires...

Recently my dad bought one of the chinese models, and it has resparked my interest.

I don't live in the mountains, or even in a lot of hills. Would be mainly riding in fields and fairly flat trails. Is there a huge (read $2000) difference between the 360 and 650? Not had a chance to ride anything bigger than a 250 in years.

Thanks in advance for the responses.

The power differance will be day and night... the Prairie is a great machine but the v-twin 650 is leaps above it in power.

Now I havent spent much time at all on the 360 just a quick test ride in the field next to he dealership I buy from. but could deffinately tell the differance.

But for no more riding that you say in your post the 360 would do you fine. The 650 will just put a bigger smile on your face when you hit the throttle.

Mudatv, use a good synthetic engine oil and differential fluids after your break-in period. I've run Amsoil 0W40 stuff in mine and have not had the overheating issues that some guys have encountered on the Brute. Enjoy your new ride.

Hello again...0010, I have both machines, well the Prairie is my wife's and she loves it. I really like it too and have spent a lot of time on it before getting my Brute Force 650i. However, as 650Mobrute has already mentioned, the Brute Force has a lot more power both in low end and top end. I was simply amazed at the throttle response and had to re-learn my throttle control. So, my advice would be to go with the Brute Force, it's an incredible machine and you won't be disappointed.

RemedyX, you have pinned me correctly! LOL... I only use Synthetic oils and truly stand by them. As for brands, I really like the Mobil 1 Synthetic motorcycle oil and use 10W-40 and best of all it is easily found in any automotive store. I have also adopted a maintenance schedule that is above the recommended. I change the front diff oil every time I change the engine oil and change the rear every other time. I figure that the extra $$ I spend on oil is cheaper than having something break.

Mudatv, thanks!

Seems to be the general consensus! I guess when I buy, that's what I'll get. Now am waiting around to make sure the wife's company doesn't go under and leave her temporarily unemployed. That would effectively end my search right there!

Anyway, thanks to all for the input.
