Default Help Please Kawi Prairie 700

I did something real stupid and connected my battery charger reverse (pos to neg and neg to pos) for about 5 mins at 2 amp. The bike doesn't even light up when the key is turned on. I thought I fried the battery and replaced it with a new one. Still nothing. I'm sure i F'd it up good but can someone send me in the right direction some I don't get the shaft from the dealer? Could (hopefully) it be a blown fuse? if so, where is it located? Thanks in advance for the help.

Remove the seat and check your fuses, should have fried one of those before something else.

Then check the wiring at the battery, follow it to the starter, etc..... if you damaged something, it should smell burn't or be burn't.

The fuses are located under the seat. There are two locations. 1). The Fuse box is located in front of your CDI (the CDI has 3 big plugs going into the front, it is at the back and is the biggest box under your seat). The fuse box has : 10amp accessory fuse(ACC),
10amp engine (E/G) fuse,
10amp brake control (BRK) fuse,
15amp rad fan (FAN) fuse
and one spare fuse (Spare).
The 2nd location is located in front of the fuse box. It is the main fuse and it is a 30amp fuse. It is a red clip attached to the box in front of the fuse box.

If it is a fuse, then it it would either have to be the 10A engine fuse or the 30A main fuse.

Good Luck.

I'm glad it worked out good for you. I think that I'll pick up a spare 30A fuse to have on the bike just incase I need it, I carry 10A, 15A, & 20A but no 30A.
