Prairie or Brute riders...

Hey guys, has anybody had trouble with a Dynatek CDI on their Prairie or B.F.?
I have a stock 2004 Twin Peaks, (which is essentially Prarie 700), and I put a Dynatek FS cdi on it. It worked fine for a while but after a few hundred kms on the cdi the bike started to bog out at high speeds. After that it would bog out even at low and medium speeds.
I cleaned the filter, burnt a few tanks of gas, changed and gapped the plugs, and it still happened. I put the factory cdi back in and the bike works great again.
I have sent it back to Dynatek for testing, but I haven't heard from them yet.
From what I have read, I shouldn't have to jet it but maybe I do. It just seems funny that it would work great for a few runs and then work like crap.

Those ignition timing advancing gadgets (CDI) do not change carburetion on carbed machines. Thus not requiring jettings. It's just gone bad.

I heard back from Dynatek on my cdi. They did a test and found that there was a problem with the spark output voltage. They are replacing it for free, they didn't even want a copy of the receipt, they didn't care where it was purchased, they only seemed concerned about the problem. They said it was a rare case, and they were more than happy to replace it.
I found the customer service to be top notch. I would definately do business with them again.

Larry Nelson at Dynatek mentioned that the cdi's are the same unit for the bikes that you mentioned. I would by a Dynatek for your BF because you'll like the performance and they stand behind their products.
