Default mojave smoke?

I have recently done a complete rebuild on my 2001 mojave right down to splitting the block. ive got it completely assembled and everything works great with the exception that it smokes pretty bad. i drove it for about twenty mins hoping it would clear up but it didnt. i have full compression and new valve seals i dont know what else it could be. and it is oil smoke. any ideas?

Could be a ton of things.
I would vote for something like you put the rings in upside down.
Could also be something like worn valves and or guides. New seals in this case is just not going to cut it.
Maybe too much clearance between the bore and piston?
It just could be soooooooo many things.

Different manufactures use different methods to mark the top side of the ring.
Most use a dot or dimple to mark up.
The instructions that came with the ring set should have told you how to put in the rings correctly and which ring goes in which groove.

Default

your mojave may not be jetted right so its to lean or rich and thats causing you to burn more fuel than you need so you might need to rejet. i did the same thing to my lakota and got a jet kit and cleaned out the carb and it stopped smoking.
