Oil for 1999 Prarie 300 4x4
#3
Any motorcycle specific oil that is rated API SG/JASO MA is a good place to start! Beyond that, the synthetics are a big improvment over petroleum oil and the Group V ester synthetics, a big improvement over the Group III and Group IV PAO synthetics.
For a basic inexpensive petroleum oil, I like Maixma Premium. For a full-synthetic for that machine, I like Maxima Extra, but most folks balk at the high price. Personally, I run Redline which is a very slick performance oil (JASO MB...yet wet clutch safe!), in all my quads.
Some required reading on oil:

Run whatever viscosity your owner's manual recommends for the outside temps this time of year. 20W50 is going to be to thick for winter, in most of the country. http://forums.atvconnection.com/hond...ight-oils.html
