Default kawasaki/warn winch

can these winches be repaired? i received the promo winch when i bought my brute, used it 3 times and it worked fine, 4 time it wouldnt come out, dial on end acts like its jammed between freespool & in gear, i plan on taking it off, just wondered if they could be repaired,could get gears etc.?

my dealer is a piece of garbage, front diff locked up week after i bought it, they said it wasnt covered because i installed mudlights over grand in repairs, they installed mudlights had it in their showroom, after 3 months them having my brand new atv, i called kawi who made them fix it under warranty 26"are covered, then picked it up and it wasnt touched no other dealer would touch it, their sister store finally repaired it, it has had a cooling issue that i will mend from tips on here, rtd in taylorville il are crooks

Sorry. I didn't mean to hit a sore spot. I don't have any experience w/ repairs on winches. Sorry I couldn't help you better. I was just curious as to what a dealer had to say on the matter. I'd contact Warn and see what they have to say.

Yes, Warn (or anyother brand) winch can be repaired. I've done so by making a one good winch using using 2 bad ones. Call Warn and see if they would sell you whatever parts you may need if you don't have any other way to get spare parts. But first you must find out what parts you need first!

thanks, i found a new shop near me, that said they werent hard to work on and that he could get parts fairly cheap, even fix it if i couldnt, plan to have it off this weekend, looked on warns website and only authorized repair shop near me was the crooked dealer that i bought it from, dont think its major deal
