Default Tire Issues

My brother in-law has a 650 Brute Force and has 29.5 ITP tires. He just got the bike, he absolutely loves it but his take off power probably has loss, the main thing is they be rubbin a little in front. What are his options? Should he down size tires? Maby raise bike? I think He said the tires were almost new and that he was lookin for to swap or trade them for a smaller set maby not to sure. Any info would be great, thanks.

I think it depends what he wants to do with the quad. Those tires that he has are huge. If he wants a mudder then put a lift on the quad and he'll be set for the most part. Adding a clutch kit and pipe to help move the larger tires is probly a good idea as well. The big tires and lift add to the wear and tear tho.

Downsizing to smaller tires will fix the rubbing problem and give him the feel of more power. In my opinion 26 or 27 inch tires offer more versatility, where as the large ones he has now are kind of one dimensional.

I'm not sure what to do on this, it's a 2007 650 with HMF exhaust, clutch kit, snorkled with 29.5 outlaws on itps rims. The front rubs alittle, so I'm not sure if I should try to trade down and get smaller tires or just put a lift kit on it. I mud ride more than anything else, so what would you suggest? Thanks in advance.

Well it ultimately comes down to whatever you want. You know your riding spots and you know how you ride and/or want to ride. It sounds like you have a nice mudder. If that's what you want then I'd say add a 2" lift and problem solved. However, if you desire something a little more nimble or "sporty" then downsize. Considering you have it snorkled the lift kit would just complete the package.
