Hey,
Looking at one for sale in a few hours. Are these decent quads?? Let me know as I plan on buying if it checks out good. They are asking $1100 with only mod being "exhaust" I want something sporty, but have a smaller budget!
Thanks in advance!!!

good deal its an excellent woods quad, can do motocross and cwr can make this bike into a firebreather as well as 4 stroke tech. Its a good price as long as it isnt knackered,I never had any problems w mine but the things that go wrong are the plastic reverse gear gets stripped out.I sold my 2002 w k$n filter, big gun exhaust an jetted for 1900.At the time in 05 all the damn big bikes were takin over an no 1 wanted a lowly 250.Like I said as long as it doesnt smoke, make wierd noises an kicking it w compression, youll know it will have resistance on the kicker. You will be good to go,good luck an post some pics if you get it.Its esenntialy a KLR 250 engine

Sad enough I work nights, and fell asleep so missed apointment lol. The other one im looking at is a 94 Yamaha warrior 350. He says everything is fine except it is a cold start. Is that a major problem?? How would I fix this, and would it be an in-depth issue?? I can pick this one up for $1,200 with only issue being it starts hard cold (all they said was wrong). Is that a good deal??
Thanks,
Brett

It would REALLY need to be in REALLY good shape to be worth that price...a 16 year old sport quad is usually going to be wrung out.

If you have a mechanic who can take a look at it with you, that would be best.

If it's in good shape, it will probably be a better ride than the Mojave...100cc's does make a difference, and it's a bigger frame.

Well the Yamaha is a very solid bike however now your starting to get a little bit older for the same price, I would look it over real good as warriors tend to get beat up for some reason, but they have solid motors with good power not as nimble as most sport quads cause of there size. I would say for that price it would have to be in pretty good shape , if so-so shape I'd offer $800.00 but not over $1000.00. as far as starting cold I have a Honda that does that, that's getting older but it runs real good once I get it started, I think they start getting a little tired , I just turn my salamander heater on and it starts right up and will start the rest of the day while out with my buddies.Hope this is of some help to you. I work nights too 10:00pm till 6:30am so I know what you mean
