Why no tachometer on late model brutes?

What do you late model Brutes?
Brutes NEVER came with a tach from the beginning. In fact there is no (Kawi) quad with a tach. Even the digital meter that showing speed, clock, odometer, etc. is a new thing on quads that started in early 2000. Instead of tach, I think the engine coolant temp gauge is more useful especially on Brutes since they run hot.

both my brutes were carbed- in 05 & 06.
what do you need a tach for? turn the idle down until the atv stops creeping forward in gear on flat ground.
