13 tooth sprocket
#1
I am going to put a 13 tooth sprocket on my Mojave to try and get some more speed out of it , I did find a 14 tooth avalable for it too , is there a way to know how much speed I will gain?

You'll gain a little top end speed with the sprocket. But 8mph per tooth seems bit high.
I don't even think it was noticeable on mine. Then again, it really depends on where you're riding at. On the trails, it was rare to get out of 3rd gear. If you're out in the dunes, you'll get a chance to notice the change more since you ride wide open more.
What you may notice more than any speed you gain, is low end you lose.

You'll gain about 4-5 mph per tooth in a real world application. Calculate all you want, but everything looks better on paper until you actually apply it. Just remember as you go up in teeth you'll lose in bottom end performance. One tooth you may notice a little, two teeth more so. etc.
