kfx700 belt problems?

kfx700 belt problems?
I bought a 2004 kfx700 this spring and love it except the belt light has been flicking on. I replaced the belt and everything seemed fine. the last ride i went on it tripped twice. Any ideas want might be my problem.

More than likely it's the switch. Check it out. You might also have to tighten up the belt so it won't flop.
PS: The 04's had a recall. There is a chance that you can't turn the belt light off when it trips. You might see if this has been done.
