Question 08 Brute 750 engine seized?

I was driving slow around 10mph when i started to hear a knock. This lasted about 30 seconds and stopped. Another minute later it quit and would not turn over. The day before it was low on oil and i topped it back up and didnt loose anymore. The plugs are white so im assuming the worst. Please let me know if this is a common problem or what it might be/ what caused this.

Thanks
mike

i have an 06 that i ran low on oil and spun a rod bearing and wiped out the crank. if you ran it low on oil that is probably what happened. the only way to check it is to pull the engine completely apart and split the cases. if you are doing the work yourself pay close attention to the valve seals on the cylinder heads. the reason why mine burned through so much oil was because a valve seal lifted off the head and oil was getting sucked right into the combustion chamber. it took me and my buddy an entire day to tear it down, a day to clean everything, and a day to put it back together and im a mechanic by trade. parts were just shy of $900. good luck.
