Default I need to replace my starter motor.

1986 Bayou 300 2 wheel drive with electric start

I need to replace my starter motor.

Does anyone have a diagram of how to do this?

I don't have a diagram, but usually they simply require unhooking a few battery cables, 2 or 3 bolts, then pull it out of the motor. You may find moving or removing things like the carb or airbox may help with access.

Is there not an alignment procedure?

Generally no. The part that goes into the motor has an o-ring on it and is a snug fit to keep mud and crud out. It will be basically self centering. If you are unsure, get a Clymer or the Kawie service manual. Well worth the $$.
