I can's say for sure cause I don't have a kawasaki but I would be suprised if any mfg. doesn't run synthetic. I know polaris does though.

Besides cheaper to buy, conventional oil is inferior to Synthetic oil in every way.

From my 2010 Kawasaki Brute Force 750 Manual:

Engine Oil

Grade: API SG,SH,SJ,SL, or SM with JASO MA, MA1 or MA2

Viscosity: SAE 10W-40

The important part of the information above is the "JASO" rating. That is the rating used by the Japanese Automobile Standard organization. Do a search of "JASO" and you will find a lot of information on why to use a JASO certified oil in motor bikes.

From one of the web sites I came across: Synth oils meant for cars when used in bike will cause clutch to slip because car synth oils have friction reducers which are not required in wet clutch motorbikes. The oil in wet clutch motorbikes need the oil only as a coolant not a lubricant . The lubing is required for the engine and not the clutch in this case.

Now, I will be honest, I have absolutely no clue whether there are or aren't wet clutches in my Brute Force. So, for now I will buy my oil certified with the JASO standard from the dealer and not worry about it.
