Default 09 kawasaki prairie belt indicator light

How do you reset the belt indicator light on a 2009 kawasaki prairie 360? It has come on for the 100 hour use.

lift seat
find fuse link
black n gray connectors
unplug connectors
connect black to gray n gray to black
turn ignition switch on
there will be a series of blinks
let this happen for 45 seconds or so
this will reset light
turn off ignition switch and reconnect wires to their original place.

check your belt..........

I would inspect the belt! I have seen many wore out belts at 100 hours.

Yes, make sure you check the belt for wear/tear and deflection as well. It came on for a reason.

Most likly the belt is fine with only 100 hrs, that light goes off to tell you to check the belt,I aways thought it was a dumb idea, it like having a warning light telling you to check your spark plug and air filter or change your oil when its just common sense.

The thing is there are some folks w/o common sense.
Belt wear is totally depending on how the vehicle is driven/used. It can be totally fine or totally worn out at 100 hrs. It's like brakes on your car.

Default belt reset

I would check the belt but most likely all you need to do is reset the light. As mentioned, it is meant to "go on" at 100 hours.
The service manual illustrates the process. I can provide the process, once I get hold of my manual, if you would like the step-by-step process.

On Prairie 360, you don't have to remove the seat nor have to find the fuse link. Everything is there and done on the right side of the quad just under/behind the front fender.
