Default valve clearance for 89 bayou

I broke the bolt on my rocker arm. I got a new one read how to set it but I don't know the clearance to set it?

Also how do I test the solanoid

The test I do is this! Remove solenoid from quad, get two paper clips and small gator clips and these on the small terminals, than hook up an 12 volts batt to gator clips, than an volt meter and set on ohms or buzz box an put probes on the two larger terminal, okay now when the batt.clicks the solenoid you should have conutity or the box should buzz if solenoid is good..... Hope this helps...This works great for me....
