just went to start up my 05 650 bf, it winded over for about 2 seconds and stopped! pull cord also seized. could the starter be stuck? engine was cold upon trying to start. last ride went fine with no appearent problems. 6800kms,,oil is fine. HELP!!!

 

take belt cover off and see if belt broke or something else is stopping motor

 

If the CVT belt is in good shape and the engine still would not turn over easily with a good battery, remove the left side generator cover and using a 17-mm socket try to rotate the crank CCW with the spark plugs removed. If still hard, you have an internal engine issue obviously.
