Hi everyone, I have a prolem in which we can't figure out, after having stored my 98 bayou 300 2x4 we was having to get a new battery for it but wanted to make sure it would start and run before getting it so we hooked jumper cables to the battery on a vehical not running and started it. It would not stay running without a good battery so we bought a new battery and replaced the bad one. Now the problem we have is there is no lights coming on or anything after replacing the battery Any ideas what is going on with this, the fuse is good in it.

 

you've tested the fuse with a multimeter/ohm meter or just looked at it? terminals tight? check the wiring on the backside of the keyed ignition switch.

 

New fuse and tested, no current to the starter and no current to the ignition switch.

 

The bayou IMO are common for bad starter inhibitor relay going bad...small black box beside of the solenoid switch...May try to tap it an lil bit to see if current will go thru it.....

 

Thank you will try that and see what happens, just received my service manual also so hope I can get this going without having to take it to the shop. Will let you know what happens afterwards.
