When jets are clogged up real badly, spray and compressed air couldn't clean in my case. I had to use a thin wire to pass through the jet hole - mechanical cleaning!

Carb kit with new jets and needle? Check the sizes and make sure they are correct, If it happened after you cleaned the carb its mostly likely something in there, mid to top is needle setting / Main jet. Sounds like its sucking a ton of air and not enough fuel. So check for an air leak, Check your pet **** to make sure it is not clogged and you are getting a good flow of fuel.

heres a Google search that may help

new kit with jets,needle , float needle,gasket,(spring, o ring, washer,screw).
jets have same number.checked needle jet and needle with calipers, same.
I have let it idle for hours(its running now),sprayed wd-40,carb cleaner even propane all around carb,no air leaks. I'm setting beside it now its sounds great, push throttle backfires, rpm slow trying to speed up.
new gas pit **** on tank, new filter, new line.
I am 61 years old been riding bikes all my life.still riding the last Harley I bought in 1981.always done my own repairs on bikes and cars. BUT this one is about to drive me crazy.............

Reaching here - fuel supply issue or maybe the jet needle aluminum piece that goes in before the main jet tube is installed is missing. If this piece was installed from the carb throat side, that's wrong.

not sure what you are talking about. the needle jet drops in first small end first.then main jet tube ( holder) screws in and holds needle jet in place.then main jet screws into tube.
one thing I have been meaning to ask. This carb has another jet not shown in carb diagram,I have found it on other carb diagrams.its called the start jet.it screws in next to main jet tube.its clean just strange its not mentioned in manual.

On my Prairie 400 carb and my Concours carbs, there is an aluminum guide piece that the needle goes through after it goes thru the carb throat. This is called a jet in the parts diagrams. Then below that is the tube thingy that the main jet screws into.
