You sure you check the stator solenoid? Also you sure the plug isn't misfiring. It skips when half fouled. Cdi hard to kill when they do u can get a used 4x4 for the same price. Go on ebay check make sure buy one off there. Hate to see you drop 300 on a cdi and like mine nut was lose on the soleniod.

Check for a bad ground. Follow those wires. You sure the coil got a good ground? The stator rely also?

well no spark today.....the repair manual says to use special ohm meter to check cdi. I have a older needle type meter and a new digital type, will one work ? I put in a new spark plug no help...
I replaced 30 amp fuse with a 30 amp circuit breaker that would not cause a problem .would it?

Beat the coil just a thought like a starter on a truck. Mine was that little round piece that sends power to the coil. Try cdi off ebay. Be handy to have one anyways.

well I have replaced,
ignition coil
pick up coil
stator
regulator/rectifier
replaced all wiring
Finished today, started right up rode for hour shut it off.Tried to start later an it will start run for few seconds an die.I pulled spark plug off it is throwing a blue spark at plug.I put new spark plug in but no help. Will a CDI act like this? How hot should the regulator/rectifier get? This one is pretty warm to touch.I checked compression its 110-120 pounds.

Adjust the valves. Bet the clearance is off every 10 hrs they need to be adjusted. Will make it seem like a fuel issue. Mostly idle or wot. I don't know 400klf but 300 15 intake 20 exhaust. Try that also are you sure piston hasn't been done or a jet card exhaust work? What color was the plug to much air black to lean. I believe
