ok i bought a 96 klf300 that had a very rough life. they ran it with no air filter and abused the hell out of it then left it to sit. had to bore it 50 over to get the rust pitting out of the cylinder. anyway, it goes without saying it smoked pretty bad before the rebuild.
now i have it back together and i was just warming it up riding around my house and it started smoking almost as bad as it used to once it got warm. my only idea is oil build up in the exhaust from before the rebuild burning off but i'm worried it could be something more serious. any other idea's or should i just ride it and hope it all burns off.
thanks,

Run the atv with no oil. Not Drive run and let it cook the oil out the exhaust. Also the valves might need to be rejusted. Don't try the no oil unless you have a idea of what I mean.
So idle it in the yard drive around with no oil. Burn it off. Check the plug make sure your running fine not to lean also. Check the vavle and then just drive it. I have murder my bayou the past couple weeks. Front drive going before the motor lol
