#1
Hello all Can someone please tell how to reset the spring in a Kawasaki Prairie 400 driven clutch. I took mine apart to adjust belt tension and found their is different holes to set the spring in. also can someone tell me if their is another way to adjust the tension I cant seem to tighten it enough by removing those spacers.thanks

What were the issues? Did you put a new belt on? Also it may just be your clutch surfaces glazing over that can be cleaned op with some emery cloth or one of those sanding pads nothing to aggressive.. Mine was not grabbing as good as i though it should when i got it and i just used a air compressor and blew it out.. Man their was a lot of dust and dirt that came out of it.. Worked much better after that..
On a side note what were they thinking by putting screws in the foot rests and other areas that get beat up by dirt.. I started replacing them all with body and trim bolts from the automotive department.. great fit

I had put a new belt on. because of the deflection problem. I took the driven clutch apart to remove the shims and it was acting worse than before. So I took the clutch back off and realized you have to set the spring so that the helix is pushing against the three little shoes in there. works much better now
