Default 2006 BF 650i

I am hearing alot of noise coming from the heads. I have tried to adjust the valves but it seemed to have gotten worse. It does sound like valves and I just wanted to know if there is a common problem with the valves, timing chains on these engines?
I love the independent rear on this so I want to repair this machine. Should I just pull the heads and check replace timing chains? I really think the valves are not seating properly. It has 3600 miles on it and has been an awesome machine.
