He did get the one with Power steering and that he said was almost a $1000 option. We are heading out this Sunday so I will try it out for sure.

Currently we are at almost 30 cents on the dollar. 20 cents is prime rates I think.

I just googled Canadian dollar to U.S. dollar and it gave me .79 to 1. I bet he opted for an extended warranty as well, that adds several hundred to the final price too. The Rubicon has all the features needed to be one of the best quads out there. Honda should make it the flagship model and put a v-twin in it and it would hold its own against anything out there. I do like the idea of a beltless dual-clutch automatic transmission with a manual option. There probably is less power loss than with a cvt. But all the other manufacturers have accepted this loss and simply give their utility quads enough power that you don't notice it. The Rubicon would be the best platform for Honda to build a more performance based utility quad, in my opinion. Nobody would even miss the Rincon and its 3 speed transmission.
