Default Q on 08 750 brute

Hi guys hope you could help with a few questions ,I am going to look at a 08 Kawi 750 big brute and understand they are a great machine ,this guy has : "2" lift, snorkel, rad relocate, hmf optimizer tuner, hmf swamp series exhaust, 28" mudzilla tiers on ss rims, k&n air filter, 2500 warn winch, k&n oil filter with all synthetic oils, also has a 52" easy mount plow. the exhaust and tuner have 8 hours on them" it has 2000 klm and he is asking $5000( thats in Canada ).
I was wondering ,good deal or not . if I go to see it what I should I check in the way of problems with a machine of this age ???
I'm not totally clueless, I have a 400 Scrambler that I have outgrown and just thought I would get some feedback from the Kawasaki site ,any help or suggestions would be appreciated .
Thanks , Joe

I can't say what a good price is because condition is everything. Since the ATV has all of the mods...snorkel, relocated rad...etc....it would appear that the ATV was used ( played with ) in some seriously deep water/mud. You might want to check:
- Wheel bearings, front and rear.....looseness, play
- Check each axle for torn boots...and play at the joints
- Check ball joints for wear
- Check tightness of the steering
- When you test ride, while slowly moving forward ( 3 or 4 mph ) on a hard
surface, turn the bars all the way left, and right as well. Do the same in
reverse. Listen for any "popping" sounds in the axles
There are other checks as well. Let us know how it turns out....

The axles are CV, not U joints. Not terribly expensive to replace with aftermarket. Check everything you can for tightness. The turning I mentioned in my previous post will tell you alot about the condition of the axles, but you have to visually inspect the axle boots for rips/tears. Good luck! Hope its a nice machine....
