Hello all, Just joined, I have a KVF700 and have a few questions , the Belt light is blinking after a few minutes of use (Just snow plowing of my driveway) I have the new belt and will change it when the weather gets a bit nicer, one main issue I have is when in Reverse the engine feels like there is a miss, is this normal? and if not what do I do to fix it?
thanks James

Welcome! Do a google search, you will find a "belt light reset", it's not difficult at all, but too much to explain. Try this
Nyroc's ATV info website
When in reverse, are you pushing the "overide" button....and it still misses?

Most quads have the reverse override button, Yamaha and Polaris do as well. If you don't push it, the quad will sound like its missing as the limiter kicks in to limit power in reverse so you don't hurt yourself or something. All it really does is frustrate you when you have to get out of a tough spot by having to use reverse. Silliest thing ever put on a quad, right next to all the buttons you have to push to get a Honda to go into reverse.

I don't have an "over ride button, not that I know of, but it makes sense, it would be really easy to flip it in reverse if not "controlled"
Thanks

Yes, you do have an overide button....you have a Prairie 700....right? Look on the left hand side handlebar controls....the button is gray, and to the left and slightly above the choke lever. The word "overide" should be there but it may have worn off.

On my Grizzly, its a little yellow button below the start button and killswitch. I think it may have been overridden(or cut) at some point as mine doesn't lose power in reverse. That's fine, I'd rather not have it anyway. I'm perfectly capable of using full power in reverse without flipping my machine over on top of me. As I said before, sometimes you need full power in reverse. I did over the weekend as I had to back out of a tough hole and needed diff-lock in reverse combined with some muscle pushing on the machine to get it out.

I don't know how experienced you are, and I mean no offense....but be careful with that throttle when you push the overide button, when in 4wd. It can be a bit scarey One of my own rides is a P700....
