Bike sat for a long time. Replaced rusted fuel pump with a new one. Not getting power to the pump. Fuel empty guage slowly lights up even though tank is full of new gas. Checked fuse and it's good. Hooked up another motorcycle gas tank straight to the carb and the bike fired up just fine. Why is my fuel pump not getting enough power?

Fuse, poor/dirty connections, or broken wire.
