Default 07 Kingquad 700 Fuel Pump Test Procedure

Can anyone upload the procedure from the manual or perhaps lend me some insight. I tested the fuel pressure on my 07 Kingquad 700 by installing a test gauge direct to the output on the fuel pump and it charges to 43psi without any issue but as soon as the pump shuts off it drops back to 0. The pump cycles back on when I hit the start button and runs back up to 43psi, but again as soon as the pump shuts off it loses pressure.

Should the pump be holding pressure by way of a check valve or is it normal to drop the fuel pressure?

thanks for the link. I purchased and downloaded the manual, that will certainly help. Although for this particular situation it does not clarify whether or not the system is to stay primed, although I would have to believe it should.

I suppose i'll have to test the check valve and pull the pump to inspect it more closely. It's a shame they are so damn expensive, I'd hate to order a replacement before confirming it really is defective

There is a pressure release valve on top of the pump, it could be stuck open.
