Default Blown head gasket. Help!!!

I have a 05 brute force 750 and I ran it the other day and forgot to turn the fan on. Ran for about 15 mins then started smoking. Now have milky oil. I'm going to replace the head gasket but was wondering if there is anything else I should replace while I'm in there or any tips on replacing the head gasket. Thanks

Have the head checked for straightness. When you have the head off, check that the bore wasn't scuffed. Better wire the fan to come on as Kawasaki designed, or at least with the ignition. My AC 500 has the fan come on with the ignition, only in winter, I have to block half the radiator to get it to warm up.

Will it hurt to run it to the ignition? I've read some forums that say it draws to much power from starter and causes other problems?
