first problem

It got slightly overheated. I replaced the stator, water pump bearing, seals and gaskets and I'm on the trail again. :D

first problem

8000 trouble free miles and my stator went out.

It got slightly overheated.

I replaced the stator, water pump bearing, seals and gaskets and I'm on the trail again.

Thank goodness it was only "slightly" overheated. Otherwise it might have melted wires and insulation.

How does a stater get that hot? Maybe you had an electric air conditioner wired into your quad.
