Default what am I missing? 220 carb assembly

Ok,I was putting the carb back on my 1999 bayou 220 and the throttle needle and plunger(maybe not their technical names, the picture shows what I am talking about.) came apart. I must have dropped or broken something,I can't figure out how to get the needle to stay in the plunger. What part is missing or what do I need to do?

A circlip fits in one of those grooves, and you can weaken or richen the main jet mixture depending on which groove you chose. Usually a small washer fits between the circlp and throttle slide too. Check they are not still in the slide, as there is a fastner keeping them in place. From the parts drawings, it looks like a big washer between the spring and circlip.

Thought I would comment on this old thread before starting a new one. Trying to get the wheeler put back together since the weather is getting nicer out. When I open and close the throttle, the needle doesn't always land in the bore,it lands off to the side sometimes and is very wobbly. What is needed to keep it aligned correctly?

Take a look at the on-line parts drawing at partzilla etc, it will show what should be above the carb slide holding the needle.

Thanks. I think I figured it out. Now I have to wait for a new key because the kids conveniently "misplaced" it. lol Should have it running in a couple days
