Default carb assembly help

If the spring is about 3 inches long, it belongs between the jet needle holder and the vacuum chamber cover, which is the black plastic cap on top of the carb held on by 4 screws.
If it's very small, about 1/2 long, it belongs between the jet needle holder and the clip and spacer, which rests on the upper portion of the needle.

The mix screws are in the center of the carb on the bottom on the engine side.
