According to that wiring diagram I keep referring you to, there is a blue from trigger coil and a red from power coil on stator, but also two (looks like black/red) wires from the other side of these coils to CDI, that makes four wires from stator to CDI.

Unless your old CDI is shot I can't see any reason not to continue to use it. Being AC it is completely separate from the rest of the loom, only the kill wire Y/R on the drawing, being connected to the ignition and kill switches.

Yes old CDI is shot. The privies owner tested it buy swapping it in and out of another "running" Bayou 220.
LOL i can be bonehead a after market cdi for this is only $20 USD. Now i got one on order.

P.S. 10 years ago we could not find one for under $250.

While waiting on the cdi box i think ill look at the Valve lash.
...i know no one will believe this but i found conflicting information on the web...
is the intake 0.15∼0.20 mm (0.0059∼0.0079 in.) and exhaust 0.18∼0.23 mm (0.0071∼0.0091 in.) correct?

I haven't got the book so not sure, but that won't be far off. Lakota is inlet 0.1 to 0.15, exhaust 0.15 to 0.2.

Well the cdi is still in dongguan china. So i gave the carb a good cleaning and fixed the recoil rope.

Was cleaning the gas tank and seen it was leaking from the petcock and rebuilt it from stuff i head on hand for less thin $.80 using a o ring,rubber fiber gasket material and fine grit Sandpaper.
Should i do a tutorial?

LOL the cdi finely made it to the USA. dont know why they call it "speed pak"
Now to wait on customs!

Going over the wiring vary vary carefully! its in worse shape then i thought "if thats possible". Wire insulation cut and corroded in odd places. Glad i have wire,solder,heat shrink tubing,time....LOL Now i see why i got it for free!

WaHoo! i got the cdi yesterday. And today i have spark!
...Now back to soldering...
