Default 97 bayou 220 problems

I recently bought the bike for pretty cheap Thinkin i could get it goin easy but it hasnt worked out... the wiring harness was pretty rough but i have been through all of it read all the post on the web.. i cant get it to fire tho i have spark outside the head iv been spraying starter fluid directly in the carb... also took the carb off and sprayed..iv tried with a gas tank Hooked up.. on the dash with the reverse an neutral lights the left bulb is blown but the right wish I thought was the nuetral works and does come on.. i have compression not sure if it’s enough and iv checked the timing i cant figure out why it wont even fire off just once other than no spark once its inside the jug iv tried multiple plugs and cleaned where the plug makes contact to the head any advice would be appreciated

Check compression properly, needs to be over about 90psi for the bike to start easily. In neutral the bike can be rolled forwards and backwards easily, it will refuse to roll one way if in any gear. The problem with a carb is the air/fuel mix has to be just right for a bike to run, witness many bikes/cars with a choke, most will refuse to offer to start on a cold morning without choke, but won't run properly once warm, with choke. Clean the carb out, then fit a clean dry plug and try again.
